The future is electric and green: how can finance accelerate a truly clean energy and transportation revolution?
October 8, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm BST
FreeInvestors are increasingly wondering how best to play a transition – or even a revolution – in energy and transportation, as the cost of renewable energy and electric vehicles falls.
Batteries (lithium-ion) and fuel cells (hydrogen) are key areas – they will determine the success of electric vehicles and storage of power from intermittent renewable energy sources. Until they are widely recycled or somehow replaced by better technologies, they will rely on metals whose life-cycle (mining to disposal) is anything but clean. In addition, these materials are often sourced in unstable countries.
These are just some of the challenges (and opportunities) the world has to address in order to move to a truly clean energy and transportation system.
Do not miss this chance to update yourself on the opportunities, challenges and potential rewards of a revolution that has already started and must accelerate.
