Small & Mid-sized Business Forum

The climate-challenged, deglobalising world is forcing businesses to navigate a sea of change. No matter their stage or size.

The Small & Mid-sized Business Forum (SMBF) is a group for founders, leaders (CEO, CFO, COO, etc) and board members of SMBs, as well as larger businesses working with SMBs, who are committed to making the world better. It is for those who want to reduce the environmental impact of their businesses. And take advantage of the transition to a more sustainable (financially and environmentally) economy. While navigating geopolitical uncertainties in the new multipolar world.

Our mission is to help businesses transform the global and regional economies into sustainable ones, by fostering collaboration between businesses around the world.

The group aims to facilitate discussions between members on themes that may be of interest to them, including:

  • Strategic Change – planning, valuing, financing and implementing projects to adjust operations in response to market opportunities or threats, such as climate change and deglobalisation
  • Sustainability & ESG Factors – integrating environmental, social and governance practices to boost the value of the business
  • Risks & Opportunities – mitigating or capitalising on climate-related and geopolitical challenges as well as other ones
  • Technology – leveraging emerging tech such as AI and blockchain to enhance sustainability and adapt to tectonic geopolitical changes
  • International Growth – navigating global markets amidst geopolitical shifts

It also aims to facilitate other activities that support collaboration between members.

The Forum is managed by P27 and overseen by the Small & Mid-sized Business Forum Board (work in progress), chaired by Mauro Tortone, who has gained extensive knowledge of sustainability and geopolitics and their impact on business throughout his career in investment banking and management consulting.

We are looking for SMBF Board members to oversee the SMBF activities such as discussions on the LinkedIn group and possibly events (virtual and physical).

We are also looking for partners to support the Forum in any way they can.

Apply to join via either the LinkedIn group or, for a deeper involvement (e.g. become a partner, put yourself forward as Chair/ Board member or speak at an event), the registration page.
